Professor Mark Shackleton, Dr Skrålan Vergauwe and Dr Alexey Akimov

Skrålan Vergauwe and Alexey Akimov, both lecturers in the Department of Accounting and Finance, have successfully completed module one of the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (CAP). 

The department extends its congratulations to Skrålan and Alexey for this fine achievement.

The CAP is an in-service programme designed to provide a framework to support and accredit the academic development of staff who teach and support student learning at Lancaster.

Skrålan Vergauwe, who is from Belgium, completed her PhD in 2013 at the KU Leuven, where she was supervised by Professor Ann Gaeremynck. She joined Lancaster in 2012 and is currently researching fair value accounting and disclosures, accounting for real estate assets and IFRs adoption, and teaching AcF 213 Management Accounting for Business Decisions.

, from Russia, joined Lancaster in 2012 following the completion of his PhD from the University of Reading. He is currently teaching Introduction to Finance to undergraduate students. His primary research interests are in the fields of real estate securities and real estate investment.
